The test
sskin.care needed distribution, and Pinterest made sense for a visual, search-led skincare site. I treated it as a channel experiment rather than a place to cross-post.
What I did
- Studied which topics, layouts and formats were already earning reach.
- Used those patterns to choose what to publish next instead of increasing volume blindly.
- Added search details to every post and varied the creative while keeping the underlying topic comparable.
- Watched what moved, made more of the winners, and stopped treating every pin as a one-off asset.
The result
The account went from zero to 30–40k monthly views in about three weeks. More useful than the screenshot was the operating loop: research the channel, publish a controlled variation, read the signal and repeat the thing that worked. Pinterest is now the first GTM test I am applying to my own content sites.
